Black is the new beauty with our Mark V. Used as a temporary residence while building their dream home, our client - a young family of four - was looking for a stylish yet functional space to live in full-time for a year before renting it out.

Set on a beautiful farmscape in the town of Parilla, the site has the unobstructed panorama view from the surrounding farms all the way to the horizon. Having windows on both side of the container home works takes the best advantage of that, complemented by two operable skylights to allow extra natural light. The kitchen is well equipped with a single-drawer dishwasher, compact cooktop, oven and a full-size fridge. The two bedrooms are located on either ends of the home. There’s also room for a couch and a wall-mount TV. The spacious walk-through bathroom is filled with light and freshened by the Pan Fan odour treatment system to ensure utmost comfort and well-being.

The black exterior is designed to blend in with the existing shed and the future home. Power will be generated from the solar system and rainwater collected from the shed’s roof. All grey water and toilet waste will be directed to the septic system.
